News Flash – QuickBooks 2009 R11 Fixes PDF Problems on Windows 64-bit Computers
Intuit has just released QuickBooks 2009 R11, and I can't tell you how happy I am to see that it finally addresses the PDF problems on 64-bit computers. I, personally, don't have a 64-bit system but many of my clients do and I've spent a lot of time uninstalling and reinstalling drivers the last few months. Intuit hasn't announced when the automatic updates will be released, but you can download it manually on Intuit's Product Update page.
The following changes and improvements were made to QuickBooks Pro 2009, QuickBooks Premier 2009, and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 9.0 in releases R11:
Company Snapshot
Company Snapshot now displays for the "…to Date" preset date ranges (e.g. This Year-to-date or This-Quarter-to-Date).
Payroll
The preference to "recall hour field on paychecks" is available again.
Historical paystubs are now sent to the View My Paycheck "Select Pay Stubs" window.
Payroll: Assisted Payroll
The current year SUI rate for some states can now be edited when the change meets the criteria of the States upper and lower limits.
PDF
64 bit systems will now be compatible with the PDF printer driver. The error: "You cannot print directly to the the QuickBooks PDF Converter… " should no longer be displayed.
Sales Tax
Sales Tax Revenue Summary report now displays correctly after updating to the R10 update.
