How to Email Forms after QuickBooks 2007 is Discontinued

Thank you for posting such good information.  I have a question. If I decide not to upgrade my QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 7.0 will it be possible to send invoices, PO's and the other such forms from QuickBooks from some other means, if not through a direct email?
Once Intuit discontinues QuickBooks Enterprise 7.0 on 5/31, your only option will be to print the forms using the PDF Converter and then manually attaching them to an email.  As an Intuit Solutions Provider, we have access to special pricing on both QuickBooks Enterprise and Point of Sale that we pass on to our readers.  If you decide to upgrade, and we highly recommend it, give us a call and we can help you out.

How to Open two Company Files in the Same Year in QuickBooks

My problem is that you can’t open more than one company shortcut in QuickBooks of the same year.  Example:  Donut World – One company created in QuickBooks with shortcut on the desktop.  Ed’s Gym – 2nd company created in QuickBooks with shortcut on the desktop.  Both use the same year of QuickBooks, but can’t open together at once on my desktop. I have to close one before the other can open.  How do I solve that problem? Different years of QuickBooks open fine at the same time on the PC, but not of the same year with multiple companies and shortcuts to those companies. Help?
Unfortunately, QuickBooks won’t allow you to open two company files in the same year.  In fact, you can’t even open an Enterprise and a Premier file in the same year (i.e., Premier 2010 and Enterprise 10.0).  You can try some sort of virtual software system, like VMWare.  If you have Windows 7, you can also run one file in Windows 7 and the other in XP Mode.You can send QuickBooks feedback online from your Help menu.  They take this feedback very seriously so if enough people complain they may fix it.

How to Fix Sales Tax Paid by Regular Check in QuickBooks

I have taken over bookkeeping for a “gentleman” who paid his sales tax with an invoice and check, instead of the “Pay Sales Tax” option.   And he tried a few times to straighten it out, but only made it worse.  Can you give me an idea how to clean up this long time mess?  Would I be better to just create new sales tax vendors and start over?
This is one of the things you can fix with Data Client Review, which is available in the 2009 or 2010 QuickBooks Premier and Enterprise Accountant’s edition. 

If you don’t have it, it’s a pain but you really should void the regular checks and re-pay them through the Pay Sales Tax option.  If you change the account used on the checks to Sales Tax Payable (so you can issue a $0 check) or use Adjust Sales Tax Due (using the account that’s on the regular checks), you’ll clear the sales tax due but it won’t be applied to the correct sales tax items because there’s no way to do add sales tax items to either form. 

This is one reason I love the new Client Data Review features!  You can fix things that used to take hours with just a couple clicks.

How to Download QuickBooks if You’ve Lost Your CD

I am interested in the QuickBooks 2010 Contractor's edition which I currently have, but have lost the CD to load on my computer (because i was wanting to add it to another computer) and cannot find my CD.  What can I do? I have the Registration code etc., just don't have the CD.
You can download all the versions of QuickBooks from 2007 to 2010 on our QuickBooks Download page,  Once you download Premier, you can select the Contractor's edition.  Important:  you must have the appropriate license and product codes to successfully install these programs.
