How to Remove an Asterisk Next to Account in QuickBooks

Simple question about something I don’t remember.  What is the difference between an account with * and without (i.e *Cost of Goods Sold x Cost of Goods Sold)?
This usually happens when you import a duplicate chart of accounts.  It puts the * in the front of the second account with the same name.  To merge them, just remove the * and it’ll ask if you want to merge the two accounts.
