News Flash – QuickBooks Credit Card Processing Maintenance

Just received this from Intuit. It does not affect QuickBooks POS merchant accounts, only QuickBooks PC accounts.

Advance Notification: Intuit credit card processing maintenance – Nov. 5 and 12We’re committed to providing reliable payment processing service to you and your business. As part of our efforts to improve service and increase uptime, we are taking our systems offline for short periods twice over the next two weeks for planned maintenance.

To avoid inconvenience, we’re scheduling this maintenance at a time when many businesses are closed. During this time; you can continue processing credit card payments via voice authorization. See below for details.

Our systems will be offline:

Saturday, Nov. 5, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Pacific Time.
Saturday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 p.m. – 1 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, Pacific Time.
How does this affect you?
During these periods, you will not be able to process credit cards from the following locations:
Within your QuickBooks software.
Via the Merchant Service Center.
Through the GoPayment mobile application.
On your Intuit-based website or e-Commerce site.
How to process credit card transactions during this time:
We value your business and know that you cannot afford any disruptions in service. You will be able to run voice authorizations for card transactions by calling the appropriate voice authorization:
Visa/MC/Discover/Amex: 800-228-1122.
American Express: 800-528-2121.
Discover: 800-347-1111.
Once service is back online, please use QuickBooks or Online Terminal to capture the authorization.Please visit the link below for detailed instructions on entering these transactions into QuickBooks:
