How to Enter Multiple Sizes for the Same Item in QuickBooks Point of Sale

Hi Ruth. When I’m entering multiple sizes for the same item in QuickBooks Point of Sale, is there any way to just change the size and then “save as” and have it be another inventory item? I even changed the “item number” that POS assigned to the entry to the next number but it just resaved the original entry with the new size and item number. It would save a lot of time if I could do this somehow.
If you’ve got QuickBooks Point of Sale Pro, you should use Styles to add additional sizes and/or colors of the same item. QuickBooks POS will automatically create a new item number for it. If you don’t, you’ll have to manually create a separate item for each size/color combination.quickbooks pos

  • Is there a way to save sizes in POS so you don’t have to enter them in everytime you enter a new item?

    • Hi Paula,

If you’re using styles you can save style templates. However, styles aren’t available in QuickBooks POS Basic.
