How to Enter a Customer PO# on a Sales Receipt in QuickBooks Point of Sale

I’m using QuickBooks Point of Sale 10.0 and I can’t figure out how to get a customer’s PO# to print on a sales receipt. I need it for accounts like the city and county when they send the workers over to purchase something and send a PO with them.
Here’s how you get a PO# to print on a sales receipt – with the sales receipt open, go to select the I Want To button and select Add/Edit Receipt Notes.

If you enter just a number, it’ll print just the number, so I recommend entering PO# before the number. If you need to do this often, you can add a button for it by right-clicking in the button area, selecting Customize Buttons and selecting Add/Edit Receipt Notes.
