QuickBooks Point of Sale Compatible Hardware List

¹ Cash drawers must be connected through a compatible receipt printer. Not all cash drawers work with all receipt printers. Check the cash drawer manufacturer’s specifications for printer compatibility. Connecting a cash drawer to a non-compatible printer may cause damage to the printer. Use only the manufacturer’s cable included with the cash drawer for connection to your receipt printer. Using any other cable, including phone cords, may result in irreparable damage to your receipt printer.

² The M-S Cash Drawer, formerly sold by Intuit, works only with compatible Star receipt printers.

³ Not compatible with Windows Vista.

⁴ Parallel port is preferred. This printer may be supplied with a parallel-to-USB adapter, which works on most computers.

⁵ This thermal printer prints larger 4″ x 3″ and 4″ x 6″ labels and is ideal for use with Shipping Manager.

⁶ PS/2 (keyboard) devices share the port with the keyboard. A scanner, credit card reader, and keyboard can all share the same PS/2 port.
